Torchlight ii elemental damage bonuses12/25/2022 ![]() ![]() I asked a ton of wordy questions so I don't expect total answers for everything, but anything would help me get a better grasp on the game and such. Can I inflict all 4 status conditions with one(albeit lucky) hit from my staff? And is it true that critical hits always give a status ailment? If so, is it all 3? ![]() How does elemental attunement work? Currently it seems that it has X% chance to give someone one status ailment who is around me but it doesn't seem to be giving me much.which kind of leads into my next question. A few questions in particular:ĭoes any elemental damage have a chance to inflict its respective status condition? What is that chance and how it is calculated? I have all 4 elements on my staff but it takes quite a few smacks to get everything on the practice dummy. Thing is, I have no idea how these afflictions are happening. A 3:1 ratio means 3 points in one stat, 1 point in the other. So at 100 points into strength you'll have put 50 in dexterity. A 2:1 strength to dexterity ratio means for every 2 points you put in strength, put 1 point in dexterity. A ton of my damage is coming from brands(I think) and all of it elemental damage. Clarification on 'stat ratio.' It's not complicated. Ice damage can cause the Freeze effect, which slows movement, casting and attack speed. Poison damage can cause a Poison effect, which causes afflicted units to deal less damage and take more damage. Fire damage can cause a Burning effect, which causes damage over time ignoring armor. Its worth a mention that any skills that are based on weapon DPS and deal elemental damage (like Magma Spear, Shockbolts, etc.) convert all weapon damage to. I'm playing a melee embermage for my first run.which is actually pretty hard considering I've just been haphazardly throwing stats and skill points around as I try to figure out what I want to do. In the Torchlight games there are four kinds of elemental damage, and each has an associated status effect. ![]()
